Be part of the project bringing to the Internet a searchable, free-to-view database of Scotland’s Old Parish Registers. All you need is access to a microfiche/microfilm viewer to take part. We supply the necessary software and film. For more information go to www.freereg.org.uk

You can now search the database.

The Scotland project already has 9 county co-ordinators for Moray, Fife, Angus, Banff, Orkney, East Lothian, Aberdeen, Caithness and Sutherland. We can now supply single parishes for those counties without a co-ordinator as yet. We still would like to hear from anyone who would like to co-ordinate a county. Meanwhile, please see the list below to choose a parish. The parishes will be split into Volumes for distribution. The most recent will be sent out first!
